Don't know what you're basing this on. Max got 11 podiums last season, Ricciardo 2 (the 2x he won). Yes, he's had some horrible luck, but so did Max in 2017. The qualifying duel wasn't close either. Apart from his two poles, Ricciardo never qualified higher than fourth in 2018 (Max got no poles though, that's true). My opinion on Ricciardo is that apart from the occasional sensational drive, he's pretty inconsistent. When things don't go his way, he lacks fighting spirit, I think. As for Albon, he's extremely unproven, and his race pace and qualifying pace is nowhere near Max. I get the feeling you just don't like Max, which is fair enough, but there is no arguing he is an unbelievably gifted driver. And if you listen to how the team talks about him, you know they back him 100%. He never speaks ill of his own team, just other drivers and teams, which is part of the sport. Happy for you to disagree with me, those are just my thoughts. Nothing personal :).07-11-2019 23:58
